HOW TO GET TO EL CUYO

Getting to El Cuyo is part of the adventure. If you come from Mérida, you can take the road to Tizimín, a journey that takes approximately 2.5 hours by car. From Tizimín, you only have one more hour until you reach El Cuyo (total 3.5 hours).

You can also fly to Cancun International Airport (it is the nearest) and from there drive about 2.5 hours. We recommend renting a car at the airport and driving to El Cuyo so that you have transportation and freedom to move to carry out any activity or need to go to the nearest city that is Tizimín an hour away.

In case you prefer not to drive, we can organize your private transfer from the airport of Cancun or Mérida. The cost is a bit high because El Cuyo is an isolated destination and there are just few companies that make this route on a recurring basis, so we always recommend renting a car.
